Waveshare 7.3 inch 7 Color E-Ink Display 800×480 E-Paper with HAT is an ACeP 7-color reflective e-paper HAT designed for Raspberry Pi and other SPI-capable controllers that need richer color output than a monochrome display while still keeping the low-power benefits of e-paper. With its 800 x 480 resolution, 7-color display, and paper-like readability under ambient light, it is a strong fit for electronic shelf labels, smart price tags, conference badges, asset tags, and low-power color information panels.
Compared with a raw color e-paper panel, this version is much easier to prototype with because it already includes the Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO HAT format, SPI control interface, and onboard voltage translation for 3.3V / 5V MCUs. Waveshare provides the official 7.3 inch e-Paper HAT (F) wiki, the display specification PDF, and the official demo code package for development reference.

This SKU is a ready-to-develop 7-color HAT, so it is easier to evaluate than a raw color e-paper panel. It is especially useful when you want color without the constant power draw of a conventional TFT or OLED screen.
The combination of ACeP 7-color display, Raspberry Pi HAT compatibility, and ultra-low standby power makes it a strong option for retail labels, product displays, badges, industrial labeling, and embedded color dashboards that update occasionally rather than continuously.
This SKU is a 7.3 inch e-Paper HAT (F) with a Raspberry Pi-oriented HAT format, so it is easier to prototype with than a raw panel.
It supports a 7-color ACeP display effect, which is better for color-coded labels, signage, badges, and information layouts.
Waveshare documents use with Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, Arduino, and STM32 through the SPI interface.
It is a strong fit for price tags, shelf labels, conference badges, asset tags, and low-power color information panels.
