Packing the powerful ESP32-C6 microcontroller, this compact capacitive touch display USB-C dev board from Waveshare offers a range of useful features in a tidy package.
The microcontroller chip is a ESP32-C6FH8 equipped with a 32-bit RISC-V processor and a low-power 32-bit RISC-V processor, with this board specifically offering 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5 (LE) via an onboard ceramic antenna, along with 8MB QSPI built-in Flash.
The display is a 1.47″ IPS capacitive touchscreen panel with a 172×320 resolution, offering 262k colours. It has an I2C touch interface, reducing the number of IO pins used for touch inputs.
You’ll also find a 6-axis IMU on board, along with a MicroSD slot, RESET and BOOT buttons, and USB-C for power and programming.
There are two versions of this board – one with the headers loose in the package, and another with them pre-soldered to the board. Please select an option before adding to your cart.
Secret features? Whilst not documented by Waveshare, there is an ETA6098 Li-Ion battery charger chip onboard. We think this is for use with the VBAT pin (for wiring a LiPo battery directly and charging via USB-C), however we have asked Waveshare to clarify.
