Why Choose 12 AWG for NYC Fire Systems?
Voltage Drop Protection: The 12 AWG gauge is ideal for notification appliance circuits (NAC) where powering synchronized horns and strobes over long runs is required.
Extreme Heat Resistance: Rated for 150C (up to 200C), this cable utilizes premium FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) insulation, offering superior survivability compared to standard plenum PVC.
NYC DOB Certified: Guaranteed to meet LL39 signaling circuit standards for New York City building inspections.
Plenum Rated (FPLP): Fully certified for installation in air-handling spaces without the need for conduit, saving on labor and material costs.
Installers Note:
“When wiring large-scale NYC projects, 12/2 FPLP NYC Certified wire is the go-to for your main notification loops. It provides the low-resistance path needed to ensure every strobe flashes in sync, even at the end of a 500-foot run. Plus, the FEP jacket is incredibly tough against pull-tension.”
